Calibration of temperature-controlled units
With our UKAS-accredited chamber calibration services, we can assure you that your temperature-controlled instruments and units are operating efficiently and in line with their reading measurements. A UKAS calibration provides added reassurance in the validity of results due to the transparency and competency of the methodology used.
Chambers can take many forms within the scientific and technical markets, however, their primary use is typically for accelerated or longevity testing studies. Environmental test chambers, stability chambers, climatic chambers and many other variants all require calibration to ensure that any discrepancies between the displayed values of the enclosure are identified. We perform the corresponding calibration of the internal chamber temperature with our market-leading equipment which is independently checked against a known and verified standard.
Withnell Sensors can also provide UKAS-accredited calibrations of various other standard temperature-controlled enclosures. This can vary from refrigeration calibrations, freezer and ult freezer calibrations and more.
Chamber calibrations to suit you
Chamber and freezer calibrations should be extensive if they are to meet the requirements of your activities and any governing regulatory bodies. As with any chamber calibration service or project, we will take the time to agree on the scope of the calibration required, the duration of the test, the parameters to be determined & many more. These calibration conditions must be recorded by the Withnell Sensors.
Based on our expertise, calibrating the display reading of the enclosure does not make it the best method for documenting the environmental conditions whilst in operation. We recommend placing at least one temperature and/or humidity sensor near the load within the enclosure as this will provide more reliable data than the units display going forward.
To reduce costs, we can offer a one-point calibration service. This is where we conduct a calibration of a single measurement point at one location in the enclosure. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

UKAS freezer calibration

UKAS fridge calibration
UKAS fridge calibration allows you to meet regulatory and industry requirements and ensure the efficiency of the unit. The measurement capabilities of the unit can become less accurate over time, potentially straying outside of acceptable levels. This provides the requirement for calibration (in most industries annually) due to the sensitive goods stored inside the units. Our UKAS fridge calibration service entails comparing the display reading of your unit against our highly accurate testing equipment. Our highly trained technical engineers will check the displayed temperature of the unit is in line with the actual temperature inside.
On top of calibrating the fridge, many industry regulations require periodic temperature recordings of inside the fridge daily. We can offer a fully automated system to do this for you as well as annual recalibration of both the secondary monitoring device and the fridge unit.
