Since our official opening in 2006, Withnell Sensors has been committed to offering expert support and product solutions for your temperature and humidity measurement requirements. Our passion is to provide top-level technology and innovative solutions to various target markets.
Although our founder started his journey delivering temperature and humidity support to the life sciences, we have since developed our portfolio to address and fulfil a range of different applications.

2006Withnell Sensors was founded
In 2006, Withnell Sensors was founded by Philip & Lynne de Freitas. Philip had worked for over 30 years for Kaye, leaders in thermal validation in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry. We offered a range of temperature and humidity data loggers to the market under the Veriteq brand, this brand was later purchased by Vaisala. Withnell Sensors still represents Vaisala today.2010Relocation
In 2010, we moved into larger, dedicated premises to allow us to establish a high-precision temperature calibration laboratory in the heart of Lancashire.2011UKAS ISO 17025 accreditation
Throughout 2011 we successfully implemented our Quality Management System and achieved UKAS ISO 17025 accreditation for our temperature calibration laboratory.2012Exclusive partnership with Kambic Instruments
We became exclusive distributors of Kambic products, offering a range of climatic chambers and metrology products in the UK and Ireland.2016Distributors of SenseAnywhere
In 2016, we started distributing SenseAnywhere data loggers in the UK and Ireland, an innovative cloud-based system that can be used for continuous monitoring or thermal validation.2020 Partnership with KAYE
2020 was the year we reconfirmed our long standing history with Kaye by officially becoming a global partner for the UK. Enabling us to sell the Kaye products and support our customers with UK based Kaye service.2023 Expanding our portfolio with FARRAR
Withnell Sensors looks across the Atlantic. We partnered with FARRAR, powered by global climate innovator, Trane Technologies. Focused on meeting the rapidly growing demand for low and ultra-low temperature processes involved in the manufacturing, freezing and storage of medicines, vaccines, and other life-science products.2023International expansion
Through out 2023, we were proud to open our North American office based in Toronto, Canada.
