Halocarbon Oil

Halocarbon oil is a low molecular weight polymer of chlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE). It has a very low pour point and not miscible with water.  It is safe, chemically inert and nonflammable and can be used with oxygen or chlorine.

This oil is used mostly as a low temperature bath fluid with the Kaye CTR-80 Low Temperature Bath.
